Fun with Puns!!!!

Good Monday Morning all!  First and foremost I must tell you that as of right now my comments are still not working. I am in the process of downloading Google Chrome and I really hope that fixes the problems. When I come onto a blog even my own I only have a few seconds to look at the comments and then my screen goes white. I am hoping to have it fixed with in the next few hours I will let you know. You have all been doing such awesome work and I have not been able to comment on it. Or even get to read my own comments that you all have left.  UGH!!!!

As you know by now Monday means many things, school, work, responsibility and once again a FCCB Challenge!!!

This weeks challenge is one that I find rather enjoyable. They are all enjoyable but this one fits my style. This weeks challenge is called Fun with Puns. Create a card or project using a funny pun somewhere on the project.

There are so many great punny titles out there that it was very hard to figure out what I wanted to do. Well I am finishing up scrapbook album that I am doing for my best friend who has a little girl and I thought that I would make another layout for her album, and that this challenge would be perfect for that project.

Here is my project:

The sad thing is that I cannot remember who sang the song “She’s my Cherry pie” ( which at this point in my life is highly inappropriate)  I am thinking Motley Crue but not sure. Anyway She’s My Sugar Pie worked out great!

The paper that I used was from one of the cheap stacks at Wal-Mart. I loved how it coordinated. She’s My was cut from Paper Lace and Sugar Pie was cut from American Alphabet.

The Cupcake came for Simply Charmed and then I used my Peachy Keen everyday assortment stamps for the face. I love those stamps!!

For the Photo corner I used Storybook cartridge and cut out the Fancy Corner on the page for the letter N.

Then finally I just used my white gel pen to add a little something to my title.

This page was fun to make and I am excited to give it to my bestie!!

She is my bestie because she truly loves and accepts me for who I am.  One funny story we have is one day we were driving in the car and I realized like many times before that I was squinting my eyes and that was causing wrinkles on my forehead so then I opened my eyes big to like “stretch the wrinkles” and then she started laughing and then I started laughing and she said she does the same thing. I hate those wrinkles between my eyes!! UGH!! It was funny though!

So go and start your projects and for fun if you want share with me one of your favorite bestie stories. I would love to hear them!!!! Hopefully I will be able to read them by tonight!!

Have a blessed day!!

A Tragic Loss

My Heart has been breaking and the tears just seem to keep coming!! In the picture above is a sweet dear friend who was tragically killed this weekend in a small plane crash. For those of you in Florida I am sure that you have heard the news of a small plane crash in the everglades. This was his plane he was the pilot. This is such shocking news to all because he was such a good pilot and careful flyer!! We are all searching for answers and praying that the Lord will reveal this week to give closure especially to the family! Ryan Ruano had to have been one of the funnest, sweetest, happiest people I have ever met. That smile on his face was a permanent fixture!! He lived his life to the fullest never missing a beat!!! Always doing the things that he loved and having a blast doing them!! I moved to Florida when I was 19 and after a week of being there I met the man that I would marry Kevin!! Well 3 days after meeeting him I decided to walk down to the local hardware store where he worke

Birthday Card using Wild Card and Paper doll dress up!!

Hello Fellow scrappers and card makers, I have a niece that is turning 7 on April 6th and being that we live pretty far apart ( I’m in Tenn. and she is in Florida.) I wanted to send her a card with some cold cash that she can use to purchase whatever her little heart desires.  So here it it…. I was so excited to do this card because I had just recently purchased the cartridge Wild Card and I was eager to use it. I went ahead and picked the first card on the cartridge and started figuring out how to add my own touch to the project .   I absolutely love this cartridge!! It has so many different cards on it along with a plethora of images, icons, phrases and much more. You have to make sure and make your envelopes first to ensure a good fit for your card. I created the envelope at 3 3/4 in. the card was the same size. Here is a photo of both.                    I added some strips of patterned paper to the front sides of the card and then I was ready to add my die cut. My
