FCCB Challenge Me Monday!!!

Good Monday Morning Everyone.......Did you all enjoy the Superbowl last night? I must admit that we do not really keep up with football but I grew up a Giants fan and whenever they are in it I watch. So it was pretty neat that the last Superbowl I watched was the one 4 yrs ago where they played and beat the Patriots and then being able to watch last night a repeat was awesome!! (Sorry for the Patriots fans)

Now onto today's challenge over at FCCB. Love is in the air..everytime I turn around..LOL!!! Well today's challenge is exactly that, Love is in the air challenge. The challenge is to make a project with a heart on it and this weeks sponsor is ......

K ANDREWS STAMPS!!!! I am still new to stamps and I was super excited to use these stamps. I was lucky enough to use the Key to my heart mini stamp set that right now you can get for free when you purchase $25.00 or more worth of products. That is a great deal.

Here is what I made for the Challenge:

This is just a cute little heart shaped bag/purse. I thought that this would be great to fill with some Valentines day goodies for my 13 yr old daughter. She is not into the cutesy stuff anymore. Hello Kitty and Disney princesses dont really get her wheels going any more so I wanted to do something more mature and came up with this. I simply used the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge ( love it by the way!!) for the bag and the front layer heart. Then I used some crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot. I love that ribbon it is the best!!!! Lastly I just added a cardstock handle so that it was good and sturdy.

So there it is and now it is your turn to work on your project for the challenge. Just make sure that you use at least one cricut cut and for this challenge use a heart on your project!!!

Sorry this took me so long to post, I have had alot going on this morning and will probably be leaving for upstate NY really soon!!
This week for Challenge Me Monday on FCCB is to make a 3x3 Valentine's day card. Here is the Card that I made:

I simply cut a piece of cardstock to 3x3 then embossed it with the cuttlebug added some bling!! I also cut a scalloped circle out of vellum inked it in silver ink and then embossed it with the hearts cuttlebug folder. I really liked the outcome of that circle. I used the Be Mine sentiment from Simply charmed and then finally added the flower and pink ribbon.
This was a very simple card but none the less very fun and I think it came out cute.!!

Snow Fun!!! Challenge Me Monday!!!

Hi everyone! I know that it has been a long time since I have been on my blog and I wish that I could say that it wont happen again but I cant. I am so busy with homeschooling my kids and trying to get in shape and keeping the house organized that blogging has been set on the back burner. I will try to get on here when I can and of course I will be on when there are Challenges for FCCB.... that leads me to today.

Today is Monday and that means it is time for another Challenge over at FCCB. Today the challenge is Snow fun and that is a perfect theme for this part of the year and it is a really fun theme too. So many ideas came to my mind when preparing for this challenge.

I was so blessed to be able to use EAD designs on my project this week they have the cutest stickers and rub ons and I found the perfect way to use them on my project.

Here is my project ( sorry I am still not good at taking pics)
This was a fun layout and I am actually thinking about creating another one and making a double layout. I hand cut the hill of snow and then cut out the border on the Winter Frolic cartridge. I added some glue and sprinkled the white with snow sparkles. The Title was also cut with Winter Frolic and snow sparkled.
The pond I cut from Create a critter through CCR because I needed to remove the waves from the pond.
Finally I used the EAD design stickers and decorated the photo mat and then of course that is where I got my ice skaters from!!! Arent they cute. I stuck them onto white paper first then cut them out and used pop dots!!
So now let's see what you can come up with for this challenge!! This layout is going in a scrapbook that I am making for my best friend. She lives in Florida but every year takes her little girl ice skating and I think this will be perfect!!

FCCB Challenge Me Monday!!!!!

Hi everyone!!! I pray that you are all doing well. I know that for me it has been somewhat crazy here around the house with all of the things that have to be done for Christmas!! I am so completely behind!!!
Well, today at FCCB there is another challenge and it is all about ribbon. The challenge is called Rolling in Ribbon and I was very blessed to have some ribbon given to me from My Craft spot to use in my project this week!!!!!!!!
Here is my project:
Just a simple one page layout. I was able to use the vintage christmas ribbon with Vanilla, Cranberry and Toadally green from My Craft Spot. I simply kept the ribbon crinkled and used it as a hanging piece ( Well so that it looked like it was hanging!!)

I used Joys of the Season Cricut Cartridge for the Ornaments and presents . That is about it and I am sorry to keep this short but with Christmas and all I am super busy!!!!

Happy Monday Bloggers and Welcome to Little Creations for the Cricut!!

I hope that you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving! Sorry for the recent absence but I am back now and I even have a quick project for today!

Today is Challenge Me Monday over at FCCB and todays theme is Holiday Cards so I hurried last night to get this out. With the holiday and family and shopping I didn't even get home till yesterday afternoon!!

Here is my project:It is my first Gateway Card, I had never made one of these before. This was a really quick card. I think it only took me about 20 min. I used Joys of the Season Cartridge for the Wreath and Peace!! I had never used this cart before and it is really great for Christmas!! I added some eyelets in each corner just to give that little extra something.

I wasn't sure how I could fasten the card at the opening. Then I found some old velcro and it worked pretty good for the card. It is not so pretty but works good!!

Then I did some simple stamping on the inside and then put a sentiment in the middle. My spacing is a little off but I think it is ok!!!!

This is a great opportunity to get those holiday cards made and sent out. I know that every year I fail in getting mine all done but this yr I am going to do it!!!!

A Tragic Loss

My Heart has been breaking and the tears just seem to keep coming!! In the picture above is a sweet dear friend who was tragically killed this weekend in a small plane crash. For those of you in Florida I am sure that you have heard the news of a small plane crash in the everglades. This was his plane he was the pilot. This is such shocking news to all because he was such a good pilot and careful flyer!! We are all searching for answers and praying that the Lord will reveal this week to give closure especially to the family!
Ryan Ruano had to have been one of the funnest, sweetest, happiest people I have ever met. That smile on his face was a permanent fixture!! He lived his life to the fullest never missing a beat!!! Always doing the things that he loved and having a blast doing them!!
I moved to Florida when I was 19 and after a week of being there I met the man that I would marry Kevin!! Well 3 days after meeeting him I decided to walk down to the local hardware store where he worked to say hi. I remember that day meeting everyone that he worked with except Cheryl ( who later became my bestie!!!) Ryan was one of those people and there are so many memories of him at the store!
I can remember walking into the store to see Kevin and as I walked in through the front door from the back would come this tall, handsome young man and then " awwwwwwww!! What's up girlllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" in that tone of voice that only Ryan had!!!!
He will be missed by so many especially his Mom, Dad, and sister.

Ryan, you were such an amazing soul!! When God created you he knew how your spirit would touch so many!! How your laughter and silliness would bring so much joy to so many. You took on life the way that most of us wish we could. We will all hold tight to the memories that we all have of you. Make sure you dance like never before up there in heaven and I know that you will have the angels themselves bowled over from laughter. Have fun up there and we all look forward to seeing you again!!! We love you and miss you already!!! Our hearts have forever been touched by your life. Rest in Peace with the Father my friend.

Book Lover Challenge at FCCB!!!!

Hi everyone and welcome to Little Creations for the Cricut!!

I am so psyched today because it is my first day as being apart of the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog design team. If you haven’t checked out their blog it is a must! This great team has something everyday for the paper lover in all of us!! Each Monday is a challenge me Monday and today happens to be Monday and so the challenge has begun!!!

This weeks challenge is titled Book Lover. All you have to do is create something about books or with books.

Well it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to make for this challenge. In fact I chuckled somewhat because I thought that this was pretty tough for my first challenge! LOL!! I was going to just do a layout but for some reason I didn’t want to so then I came up with this:

Some of you may be wondering what this is exactly so let me explain. I am a homeschool mom and I have a 7 yr old son who is really starting to read quite well. In our school he has several books that he has to read and I thought that giving him the choice of which one to read next might be fun for him.

So this is his u-pick book tree. When it is time for him to read a new book he will come to the tree and pick one of the books and it will have a title in it, that will be the book he will read next.

This is one of the books. Each book has a title in it!!

I love the U-pick sign!! It is from the Camp out Cartridge.

I just recently received the Simply Charmed Cartridge and I had to use it in this project I think I will love this cart!!!

Here is a shot from above you can see how I put different layers of grass in bottom.

So there is my first project for my first FCCB Challenge!!! I am so excited to see all of your projects. Make sure you check out all of the design teams projects for some amazing inspiration.

Tree and Leaves – Serenade (tree cut at fit to page, leaves cut at 10.75 in 4 different colors.)

Books-Campin Critters cut at 2 in.

Bird- Simply Charmed cut at 2 in.

Nest- Create a Critter cut at 1 in.

Fence - Everyday Paper Dolls cut at 7 in. on fit to length

Grass- I cut this in CCR with a rectangle welded to the bottom to give it a ledge to stand up with. I cut it at 9.5

Bottom square is measured at 10.5 inches and then I scored all sides at around half an inch and cut at the corners to create the box look.

Halloween fun and some exciting news!!

Good Morning!!! The day after Halloween is always a slow one especially when it comes on a weekday. My kids are so glad we homeschool because I let them sleep in on this day!! We stayed up late after trick or treating watching Captain America!!!
Their costumes were really cute this year. For months now my 7 yr old has told me that he wanted to be Thor with the hammer so we finally go to buy the costume and when we get there he spots another one and throws Thor down on the ground and grabs......

WOLVERINE

He is so funny!!! He was so excited when he saw this costume. Thor was history after that. My daughter however is getting older and it is getting harder to figure out a costume. I saved the day this yr and thought up the idea of an 80's girl and she loved it!!!
We had alot of fun!!! ......Anywho onto my exciting news..............I was recently picked to be apart of the FCCB design team!!!! If you are not sure what this is then Shame on YOU!!!!! Just Kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge blog!!!!! This is a great place and I feel honored to have been chosen!!! So make sure you all come by and check it out. Hi everyone!! Well I am back this past week was wonderful! We had a great time in Webb Alabama seeing one of our favorite speakers!! If you have followed me for any length of time you know that my husband and I have been trying to conceive and God really spoke to us this past week and we are excited about the future. We believe that God is getting ready to bless us with a little one!! I will keep you posted on that!!
Now onto the last post. I had put up a blog poll for the E2 and the winning thing was question and answer but then I only got one question and here it is......

Dian, I personally do not have a gypsy so I am not the expert on this question for the E2 however I searched around for you and found if you go over to Creations by Christina that she has a video series on connecting the gypsy to the E2!! Thanks Christina and Thanks Dian for your question!.

Lastly I wanted to share with you all my first exploding box!! This was lots of fun to make and really pretty easy. I created this for a few design team calls and I am really hoping to get chosen for the teams!! I will let you know next week about one of them at least. I have not done any design teams yet but would really like too!!!

I am new to stamping but I have to say that I am absolutely loving it!! Normally I would use a die cut phrase for my sentiment but I am finding that Stamping Sentiments is so much fun and very versatile and I have to tell you quicker and easier!! I am excited for the world of stamping and how it will add to my projects!!
So this is just a cheap stamp set from Walmart that I had in my drawer and I really liked what it said and thought it would go perfect with this project!!

I had so much fun making this!! I used a compilation of Worldwin papers along with colorbok papers. Plus I used my cricut with the CTMH Art philosophy cartridge for the flower on the inside of the box. Being that it is Saturday my time is cut short today but next week I will have a tutorial up for this box. So come back and check it out!!

Good Morning everyone!!!! Ok so I put a poll up on the blog that was asking what you all would like to see about the E2 and the most requested thing was just having a question and answer about the E2.
So that is what we are going to do today!!!!!!!!!!!

What Questions do you have about the Expression 2? All you have to do is leave your questions in the comment section. I will leave this post up until tomorrow evening and then I will go through and answer all of the questions on the next post!!

I am sure a few videos will come out of this! LOL!!

One more thing, I will be out of town after Sat for several days so there will not be a new post after Saturday until late next week!!! We are going to see Kris Vallotton!!! yey we are so exciting he is the associate pastor out of Bethel Church in Redding CA. Hey Everyone here is another video. Todays video teaches you how to place your image any where on your mat!! I use a piece of scrap paper and am able to put the blade exactly where I want it to cut.

I wanted to cut this white decorative frame from the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge for my butterfly to sit in the middle of.

I had a scrap of paper from a mess up that I did and I wanted to use it for these frames!! After pressing a few buttons my E2 cut exactly where I wanted it to. Here is another Butterfly!!

One of the things I didn’t mention in the video is that you can get even more precise by changing your setting to one quarter inch instead of one half an inch. I may post another quick video on that !! Enjoy and let me know how it works for you!!

Layout using CTMH Art Philosophy!

Good Morning Bloggers!!!! It has been alittle while since I have posted! I have been enjoying my brother and his family lately. They recently just moved down from Upstate New York. Moving from there to Easter Tennessee is a big move. It has been great spending time with them and it is also funny to see them experience the south!
Well here is a quick layout that I did using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge. One of the things that attracted me to this cartridge is the differents backgrounds and borders that this cart has and of course the flowers!!!

I used some scrap papers that I had and then coordinated some bazzill cardstock to go with it!!. I inked everything of course. I glimmer misted my flowers!! Then I tried my hand at some rubber stamps that I received from CTMH. Now I am new at stamping and I didn't do the greatest job but I was ok with the turn out!! It is hard to see here but I also used some stickles on the stamps and flowers!!

Fun Layout and a Birthday Shout out!!!

Good Morning bloggers!!!!

It is really starting to feel like fall out there!! This morning it was 59 degrees! I am actually looking forward to seeing the colors of the leaves this yr. I am a summer baby so I can get pretty sad when it is over.

Ok, so here is a layout that I made last week. This is the first layout that I have made using CTMH stamps. These stamps were loaned to me so I am not exactly sure about the name but I think it was called Cherish flourishes. Here is a lookie:

Sorry that I cut the bottom off but there really isn’t much more just the last part of that punch border!! I will do better next time! LOL!!!

I have not done the journaling yet.

I cut the orange flower with my cricut using the Walk in my Garden Cartridge. I cut two of the daisy flowers they only have 6 petals. I wanted a fuller flower so when I cut two I placed them in between each petal and that gave the look of a fuller flower. Then I glimmer misted them and after they dried I took my pencil and rolled the petals just to give them more pop!! Finally I hot glued a button to the center.

I also added two Prima flowers that I also glimmer misted and then added adhesive pearls to the center.

Then you can see the stamp flourish that I added from CTMH. I really like how they came out!

The sentiment is also from CTMH (not sure the name though) I am really loving my Martha Stewart Punch!!!!

One more thing and a very important thing!!! I have to give a birthday shout out to one of the most important people in my life!! She has been with me through thick and thin and has put up with all of my quirkiness the good and the bad!!! We even were blessed so much that we were both pregnant at the same time!! Hello again I was going through some of my files that I had designed awhile back and I am actually contemplating the idea of starting to design again. It has been awhile but I do enjoy doing it. Of course I have the cricut so I cannot use these files. :-( !!! So basically I guess I am wondering if you all think that I should start selling files again? I uses to sell my files with another website that was awesome!!! But my life took an unexpected turn and I pulled out of the site. Plus with that I sold my old machine and bought the cricut. Well, I have learned a very valuable lesson in the last 2 weeks. Let me tell you the story. I have been really wanting to get the E2 so I started looking on ebay for one and low and behold there was plenty of them on there and many of them were selling for right around $200.00. Most of them were being sold by proudparents who I am suspecting to believe is actually provocraft. I have bought from them before and gotten Cartridges at killer deals. So anyway I started bidding on a machine and thought at first I was bidding on one from Proudparents and then quickly realized I was bidding on one from someone else. I got a little nervous and quickly looked up their feedback. Well they had great feedback and even had a very satisfied customer who had just received her E2 and only paid $220.00. So I felt alittle bit better and waited to see if I was going to win. Well guess what I did win!!!!! For right around $200 I was so excited!!!!!!!!! Then last week I get an email from ebay saying that they have removed the listing and that I need to open a case and get the money back!!!
My lesson was to pay better attention and not flip back and forth through so many sellers at a time. I am really bummed and am now looking for an E2 that is priced around that range!! I know that that is a long shot!! But I am hoping that I can find one.
Enough of my venting now onto the sweet stuff that makes me smile!!!
Recently in our town the christian artist Britt Nicole came and did a concert. Well she was great and has such a wonderful spirit about her!! She was very sweet when my daughter met her and she even prayed with Malia before we left. It was awesome!! Before Britt Nicole came on stage there was the local Christian bands that played some songs of their own. Well one of them happens to have our old worship leader as the lead singer and my kids just love their music so I took some shots of them worshipping to the Lord during the concert and it was so cute!!! My little man just cracks me up!!!
Seeing my daughter worship just brings tears to my eyes. She truly loves the Lord and
he is using her in a powerful way. She is going to go forth and do more for the kingdom than I ever dreamed of doing.

After I thought I won that machine I sold my old one so no matter what I have to buy a new machine this coming week . Whether it is an expression or an E2 I need a machine. Hi Everyone, so how many of you have heard the buzz about the new CTMH Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge? I know that I have and I really want one so….. Tomorrow night I am having a CTMH party. This will be my first one that I have hosted and even went to. I have known about CTMH for awhile just never got around to being at one of the parties. Well when I got a look at that cartridge I said that is it I gotta have me one of these!! LOL!

So for the Party I wanted to show some CTMH stuff but I wanted to have a party for Cricut also because I know several woman that have not even heard about the Cricut, ( I know crazy right! lol! ) or that have one but really haven’t done anything with it. So at the party the consultant will do the CTMH stuff and I will be doing some Cricut stuff. Here is one of the projects that I did for the Party.

Now Granted, I only used the cricut for the little sign or label on the top of the drawer but never the less I used it. This was a great tutorial that I got over at Splitcoaststampers website. Just go under their resource area and look for the drawer box.

It was super easy and fun. I will be posting another project tomorrow. It is my first wall hanging that I have made using the cricut and mod podge!! It was fun and I am pleased with how it came out.

So my E2 should be here by the end of this week I hope!!!! Cannot wait to play with it!!

Happy Friday with Quick Layout

Happy Friday!!!!! Which so does not feel like Friday because of Labor Day. Well today I just wanted to share two things with you all!! And they are going to be short and sweet but one of them I will be back next week to talk about!!
First thing is this cute layout that I whipped together last night. It was super quick yet super cute! Here it is....
This is my son and our dog Rascal!!! We love him very much!!!! I again used Create a Critter. I promise next week I will use another cartridge besides this one! LOL!!
The second thing I wanted to mention is that I will be getting my E2 in about a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited!!! I cannot wait to use the 4 carts that come with the machine!!! Stay tuned because I am thinking their might be a poll that I will put up for you all to help me out on my first project!!! Happy return to reality day!!!! So my kids are officially back into the swing of things!!! Like homeschool and chores and getting up at 7:30 am and starting the day!! I personally think I am having more trouble than they are! LOL!!! I am bound and determined to start working out again this week. I will let you know how that goes!!
I know that I have been absent this summer but I did want to share with you all this really cool project that I was asked to do this summer for one of the ladies at church that were having a baby!!! Check it out.....

This has had to have been the coolest thing I have ever created!!! I cannot even believe that I made this!!! It was so much fun and I must say that I really learned about how the smallest little detail can really make a difference!!! Let me show you what I mean....

This is the cute little Monkey family that I put on the top of the cake theme for the shower was jungle animals especially monkeys so I thought this family was perfect for it. I used the Create-a-Critter cricut cartridge which I happen to think is one of the best ones out there. If you are new to the cricut and do not own this cart I encourage you to get it!! I actually won mine off of ebay for only $18.00 dollars!!! It was brand new of course it was also 3 O' clock in the morning but I was desperate. LOl!
Anyway I used the Michaels flocking powder for my monkeys so they were all fuzzy. It made them somewhat more realistic and then I wanted there to be a distinction between the mommy and daddy monkey so I had to add some bling to momma....
Don't you just love those earrings. And check out the rock on her finger!! LOL!! These were just little rhinestones that I bought from Micheals.
This project was so much fun. Here are some more photos of the details. Check out the Lions mane it is glitterfied!!!There was more but I couldn't blog forever. I hope you like it as much as I did. If you want more info on it just message me and I can give you the info!!

New pool and Tattooed Kidoes!!!!!

I know that I have been absent recently but there has been a lot that has been happening around here so scrapping has been set on the back burner along with having the time to blog. I will however be on the blog this week . I am participating in the Grillin blog hop this weekend!! I am working on that project this afternoon.

So we have been having so much fun here at our house and that is what has had my attention lately!!! First of all we got a Pool!!!!! YEY YEY YEY YEY!!!!

So here it is right after Kevin and I and my dad got it up. It wasn’t too hard but you definitely need 3 people.

This is a pool from Sears that is a lot like the ones at Wal-mart. We could not find the size we wanted at wally world so we bought this at Sears. It is a 24x52.

Here I am being silly, but as you can see there are a lot of wrinkles in these pools so you have to get in and as the water starts filling up you walk around and get all the wrinkles out. It really was not that difficult. The water was COLD!!! But it was 90 degrees out so we dealt with the cold water

As you can see the kids just couldn’t wait to get in. With just a couple of inches they started body surfing on the bottom. They had a ball.

My Mom and Dad came over to help and there was a great picture opportunity!!

It was so much fun and now that it is full they can really swim but the water is FREEZING!!!!

The next bit of excitement was the kids were able to get Tattoes!!! yes they are temporary. A friend of ours is extremely talented in drawing and she uses her abilities to minister to kids while drawing really cool temporary tats.

She is trying to have a serious face but the smile is slipping through!!!!

This is what she picked out as her Tat. Malia loves Keys especially the old antique kind . If they have any type of french flair to them that is it she is hooked!!

Then my little man originally had a Great White Shark but it washed off in the pool so he decided he wanted a snake this time. This was probably because this friend of ours has a python and he just got to touch it!!

He loves it!!

So there you go that is what we have been up to!! I promise to be back soon with a scrap project and don’t forget about the blog hop this weekend!! There will be awesome projects and I am sure there will be many chances to win lots of blog candy!!!

Disney Layouts using SVG’s

Good Morning!! I wanted to share some layouts with you today that I made for my Disney Album. These layouts I did not cut from cartridges but from SVG files. They were a lot of fun and I love how they turned out. I am just going to post them and then I have to paint my porch today so I cannot spend to much time in the blogging world the paint is calling my name

So here they are I hope they bring inspiration so some of you!!

Here is a double page layout I made from svg files. The Lilo and Stitch font I traced from an image on Google then the surf board I traced also from Google images it was a coloring page image. The flower and leaves were an svg I had

This next layout is of my son Matthew he was blessed enough at Disney’s Hollywood Studio to be chosen as a Jedi Trainee for the Jedi Training school. He was so excited. We video recorded it and the video is hilarious because when they pick the kids you can cheer for yours to cause attention to be drawn and then they may pick your child. I am screaming so loud in the video that I sound like a crazy person!! Well it must have worked they picked him!

All the Star wars layouts were used with tracing from google images and then transformed into SVG files.

This was a quick and simple card that I made using one of the Minnie cuts on the Mickey and Friends Cart. I also added a border with my Martha Stewart double edge punch. The sentiment came from a one dollar stamp at Michaels.

Here is a Layout that I made using both my Mickey and friends Cart and my MTC software. It was super easy!!!

Two exciting Events!!!!!!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!! Hello I have some very exciting news today!!!! Two different things, one of them is very exciting to me!! I hope you are excited for me but it is not mandatory LOL!! The second is very exciting for you!!!!
First, I have been blogging now for just a little while and I am so excited to say that today I was given my first blog award!!!!! YEY, YEY, YEY. It was given to me from Lisa over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons!!

Flower tutorial today

Many of you requested the tutorial for the flower so I put one together and I must tell you that I sound slightly rough because I was under the weather and I had to ask my sweet little boy to help me film and then filmed some of it by myself.

Getting Framed and tutorial update!

I just have to say Thank you to everyone for the wonderful comments and for voicing their opinions on this layout. The official decision is that I am going to frame it!!! I really liked the comment that talked about setting it up as like an easel Frame so that I can switch it up with new layouts!! Thanks for that one.

I also wanted to let you know that I will be posting a short video tutorial tomorrow for the flower. This time it is blue and so pretty so don’t forget to come and check that out!!!

Yes, this is coming a bit late in the day but I unfortunately am suffering from a very yucky sinus cold :-( and it took me a long time to get it done and then finally up on the blog.

I have shared with ya’ll that I am trying to get my Disney pictures scrapped from our vacation 2 years ago!!! ( I know that is pretty sad isn’t it) But hey praise the Lord for Photo Cd’s that last for-e-ver. ( have you ever seen the sandlot!! With the guy that says forever really slow, it’s a hoot) Anyway….I am trying to work diligently on this album so today I worked on one of the pages that have to do with having dinner with the Princesses at Epcot. I learned a new technique for paper flowers using my Plantin Schoolbook Cart for this page. And I must say….. that I so totally love it!!!!!!!!!! Sometimes I think that ya’ll must think I am a cross between a valley girl and a southern gal!! With all of my so’s you all’s and ya’lls. To tell you the truth I am originally from Upstate NY but Florida is officially my home of choice and I hope to get back there soon.

Ok Ok enough jibber jabber. What I need you all for is to help me decide if I should scrap this or frame it. I like it so much I am not sure what I want to do. Here is the layout:

I have to tell you that I am still wondering how I did it. All I can say is Thank you so much to all of the bloggers out there who give great tutorials. I found the tutorial for the rose on one of the blogs (due to my Nyquil induced coma I am not thinking clearly) I tried it out and wa-lah it worked!!! Here is a close-up and then I will give you the details.

This was so easy to make and literally took like 5 min. It was made from the flower image on my Plantin Schoolbook cart. It is near the end of the handbook and on the bottom row of the keyboard.

So I used the Storybook Cartridge for the rest of this layout. I love this cartridge and I know that many of you have had it for a long time but I just got this cart back in March and I am still pretty new to it. For the trellis or vines that my little flowers are on I used the branch border on page 38 of the handbook

Then I added some small pink and cream flowers from Got Flowers. I used some glitter glue to add alittle something to my cream colored flowers.

Next I added a cute title from Storybook it’s the Once upon a time title from pg 68 and I also used the accent blackout on pg 68 to give my title a mat.

Then I put four corners from the storybook cartridge on the page. They were on pg 47 of the handbook. Lastly I added little rhinestones on each flower in the corners.

Hello Everyone,

First I would like to just send out a prayer for all of those effected by the storms yesterday. I am in eastern Tn and we did get the storms but thankfully we did not have any of the tornadoes come our way. God I pray that you are with all of the families that went through this devastation.

Secondly, Congrats to all the lucky winners of the E2!!!! I have to admit I am so jealous!!! One day I will win blog candy I can just feel it! I am hoping to win the blog candy that Sherrie K. is offering on her blog!! One part of it is the Campin Critters Cartridge (I am salivating for that one) That may have sounded gross sorry! LOL!! And finally I was able to figure out my video problem and so I am now posting my Flower tutorial. I do not think at this time I will be posting the card video but as soon as I get my new internet I will post it. It is too large for my little internet speed. :-( Anyway I love these flowers and you can modify them in so many ways just by changing your border and your size and how wide you make them. The one in the video is a different color than this picture

Ahhh the day after!!

So, the Easter Holiday is over. It was wonderful Church was awesome and I have to tell you how good God is!! This may not seem like much to some but I think it is for me. There is a new song out by Casting Crowns and I wasn’t sure of the name but I have been hearing once or twice on the radio and I loved it, just loved it and had just told my husband Saturday night that I wanted to know the name and get that song. Well Sunday morning at the beginning of church our pastor said he had a video for us all to watch…it was that song!!!! Oh how I cried and cried and worshipped the Father. It is a wonderful song called O Glorious Day. If you get a chance check it out!!

We had a nice dinner with my parents and a small egg hunt with our kideos. Here are some pictures

The first picture is my 12 yr old Daughter Malia and then my 7 yr old Son Matthew!! They have so much of my heart, but the rest of it belongs to the man in the next picture. Here is my beloved husband Kevin!! He is trying to keep the sun out of his eyes here! lol!! Anyway we have been married for almost 14 yrs. It has not always been easy but in my eyes it has been the most incredible ride of our lives and I wouldn’t trade it for anything!!

I have been seeing these easel cards everywhere, and I have been itch’in to make one!! So I have a sister who is celebrating a birthday and thought this would be the perfect time. So I found the dimensions that I liked and started my card!!!

My first Disney layout with my cricut!!!

Since I am going to talk about a Disney layout, why not have my font be Disney!!! This makes me chuckle somewhat because I have a friend that absolutely has to be the biggest Disney fan I know and I am steadily thinking of her while I am writing up this post. Hi Stacey!!! ( This is all I can do of the font, I cannot even read it myself! lol!)

Anyway I am trying to get my Disney album done and so I worked on another layout and was successful in completing it.

I have to say that this is the first time I created a Disney layout using my cricut with a Disney cartridge. I can definetly see how these carts can get somewhat frustrating. What I found was that I had to do alot of trial and error cuts to figure out my setting and then there were some things that I just couldn’t cut too small.

The positive to these carts are that the characters are so true to life ( or movie) My Lightening and Mater really look like Lightening and Mater. I love it. I think they are so adorable!! They did have alot of pieces but the pieces cut well and were easy to glue together. I couldn’t go really fast but that was ok, I wanted the detail so I was willing to slow down for it. here is a pic of the layout: ( I didn’t exactly take a straight pic)

This is the entire layout. We were at Disney Hollywood Studios. We love Cars!!!

Here is my little main man Matthew with his favorite car!! The road signs were my biggest challenge on this cart. I did not need them to be big so I had to do some tweeking to get them to look good small. ( with the yield sign I ended up just writing the word in there.) I loved this cut of Mcqueen and the Kachow just added that last little something to the page.

Here is a close up of Mcqueen and the Kachow. I cut the spare part layer of Kachow twice because I wanted the letters to be filled in instead just outlined in black. I really like the end result.

Here is the second page with Mater. Mater cut very well and pieced together nicely. I used the jagged hinges on page 117 of Fabulous Finds Cartridge, to give the look of my pictures being hinged together. And of course I had to use the tow mater sign from the Cars Cartridge on page 50 of the handbook.

Well that is it for the layout. We had so much fun at Disney!! It is a fun vacation ( I am not sure I would call it relaxing! LOL!) but fun. Here is one last pic of the family hanging with our buddies from cars!!

Too late for challenge but I thought you would like to see it!!

Good Afternoon crafters!! It is a lovely day in Tn. In fact we are at 82 degrees right now!! I had a wonderful weekend. Church was once again amazing. I wasn’t sure if I would ever be able to say that about church again but God is good and we have found a wonderful place of worship.

So I wanted to enter the easter blog hop that was going last week and I missed it :-( but I got a card done anyway and I wanted to share it with all of you today. Here it is…

I used a sheet of white bazzill cardstock for the base of the card then I centered a sheet of patterned paper from Nana’s kids. Then also centered a piece of yellow colormates paper and then ran it through my cuttlebug using the divine swirls folder. Of course I had to ink the edges of the yellow :-)!!! The title came from MTC using the boyzrweird Font I really like that font alot !!!

I used my create a critter cartridge for this card. I wanted to do something for the Lord but at the same time something adorable and I have to say that I love my little lamb!!! I cut the lamb out at 3 inches. Then I ran layer 1 through my cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder.

Well, that is it . Very simple and easy I hope you like it!!!

Happy Saturday Evening everyone!!! It was a hot one here in eastern Tn. We reached 88 degrees today. I think summer decided to sneek in the back door today. Anywho... I have a few things to ramble about this evening.
First, I started couponing again and I must say that the Lord smiled upon my efforts yesterday when I went to Publix. My total before all the discounts was $239.16 and after all the sales and coupons I walked out paying $83.91 here a just a few of my bargains.

-18 boxes of Muellers whole wheat pasta for free!!!!
-4 bottles of Wishbone dressing for a total of $1.00
-6 oz pack of Craisin for $.68 I bought 10 bags
-8 pack of Juicy Juice boxes for $1.12 I bought 8 pack 32 juice boxes in all
-Sun chips and lays kettle cooked chips for $1.50 each.

There are many more but those are a few of my fav. deals.

Next order of blogginess, there are alot of blog hops going on lately and I encourage you if you have the time to try and participate. One reason is that this is a fantastic way to get great inspiration for projects. Another is that we are able to be introduced to so many blogs that other wise we might not have found. Finally........BLOG CANDY!!!!!! Things like stamps, paper, embellishments, and even Cartirdges!!! So get out there and check it out. I will try and post when I come across them.

I do have one to share with you all tonite:-) Cooking with cricut has a couple different things going on right now. One of them is a bunny blog hop. There are some extremely talented ladies on this list and the blog candy is not too bad either! Plus they are having a 1600 followers celebrations. A touch of ink scrapbook layout

Good Afternoon followers, ( if your not a follower feel free to hit that button over to the right:-) ) So I just participated in my first blog hop!! I will find out tonight or tomorrow if I won any blog candy!!! It was the Gotta have friends Blog hop started by Alex from you had me at crafts blog.
There are some awesome projects in this hop. Even if you didn't get to do this go and check out all the projects for some awesome ideas. Momo had a adorable card made with create a critter, and Robyn at My Pink Stamper has an awesome video making a card using the Expression 2. There are tons more so go check it out!!

So I recently have started to dabble in inking with my projects, now I am the first to tell you that I am not a pro at this and I am not even sure if what I do would be considered inking but I like it and I think it adds alot to my pages. I am currently working on a Disney World album from our trip in 2009. Yes, I know I should already have it done but you know how life just happens and scrapbooking doesn't!!. Anyway here is my layout and I will discuss the details below.

One of our days on vacation was at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. If you have ever wandered which one to spend the money on Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon? Go with Typhoon Lagoon. We went to both and Typhoon was the better park. Here is pictures of my dear hubby and beautiful daughter who rode the Crush n gusher together. One of the first roller coaster water slides. They loved it!!! I love Disney’s photopass and without it we would have never gotten shot’s like this. Hmmm. I may have to blog about the photopass!

So here is the break down: I found the sketch for this layout by going to google and typing in scrapbook sketches for 4x6 photos. Found this one and knew it would work great for my pictures. Here are the materials used:

12x12 sheet of Hawaiian blue Colormates

Bazzill rain paper

patterned paper from Michaels

Cricut Cartridge: Graphically Speaking

brown ribbon

4 flowers from Got Flowers?

Colorbox inks metallic and dark brown

Since I was using a lot of text on this page with Graphically speaking I wanted to add some dimension to the words. Plus having two solid color cardstocks right on each other I felt that there was a need for some added texture of some sort to the layout. That is where the ink came out and began working magic.

First I used my dark brown ink and just simply went around the edges to add a outline look to my bazzill paper. This gives the illusion of having a pattern against the other blue getting rid of the plain color on color look. ( plus check out the eyelet in the flower. It is a silver eyelet that I stamped in the brown so it would match)

All I did here was take my metallic silver ink from Colorbox and went around the frame of the word inking a good think layer. Finally, for the word Fearless I used my metallic blue and silver ink from Colorbox and inked the edge along with taking the pad and simply stroking it gently in areas of the word to give it that “grunge” look.

The amount of inking is totally up to you. You may like more of less than what I used. Lastly on my layout I used some ribbon a strip of patterned paper and then flowers from Got Flowers?. I hope you like the layout.

Birthday Card using Wild Card and Paper doll dress up!!

Hello Fellow scrappers and card makers, I have a niece that is turning 7 on April 6th and being that we live pretty far apart ( I’m in Tenn. and she is in Florida.) I wanted to send her a card with some cold cash that she can use to purchase whatever her little heart desires. So here it it….

I was so excited to do this card because I had just recently purchased the cartridge Wild Card and I was eager to use it. I went ahead and picked the first card on the cartridge and started figuring out how to add my own touch to the project .

I absolutely love this cartridge!! It has so many different cards on it along with a plethora of images, icons, phrases and much more. You have to make sure and make your envelopes first to ensure a good fit for your card.

I created the envelope at 3 3/4 in. the card was the same size. Here is a photo of both.

I added some strips of patterned paper to the front sides of the card and then I was ready to add my die cut. My niece absolutely love to dance so I knew right away that I wanted to use a ballerina from Paper doll dress up. She was so much fun to make!! I used some ink to rosie up her cheeks and then added some ink around her crown. Lastly for the front of the card I added a small stamp from Michaels craft store.

I did add some glitter to the ballerina’s outfit but it was after these pics were taken. ( it took the card from cute to so stinkin cute!!!)

Of course then there was the inside of the card:

On the inside I used the Happy birthday title from my Create a Critter cartridge and the two balloons were from Stretch your imagination Cartridge.

Then I was basically done. As you can see I used 4 of my cricut cartridges on the card and I was very happy with the end result. I hope she like it as much as I do!!! Thanks for stopping by!!

A new journey in the crafting world!!

Hello, I am putting my hand to the plow in the world of blogging again. I have had this blog for awhile just haven't been able to really utilize it . For those of you who know this blog ( that is not that many at the moment, but that will change!!) you know that I used to design files for different cutting machines. Well, I found that I was designing files more than I was scrapbooking and forget about making a card for someone. I loved the machines and the files that are out there are awesome. I just found myself not scrapping as much as I would like. So...........I bought a Cricut expression!!!!!! I have to tell you at first I didn't think that I would like it. I sat in my craft room thinking that I had maybe made a mistake. Then after some time ( ok like 30 min. into playing around with the machine) I realized it was exactly what I was looking for. It is so easy and I hardly have to think at all. I love that I can design my layout and then pick some images that I would like on it then simply find the cartridge that has it plug it into the machine and then basically cut!!! It just does not get any easier than that. I have had my machine since Jan. and I have already finished an entire scrapbook, made 3 cards ( I had never made cards before) plus created 190 purses for a women's retreat. So I am so excited to see what else I can do with this thing and I will be sharing many of my creations on here. I am posting a birthday card next!! Thanks for stopping by.

Hello blog followers!! I pray that you all are enjoying the fall weather that has begun to settle in. Every year I tell myself that I want to make it up to Gatlinburg to take in Fall up there in the mountains and this yr I was blessed to be able to do that with my daughter. Of course the leaves had not changed yet but the scenery was beautiful and there was plenty of fun to be had.
Well, this is the best picture I could take of both of us!! LOL, as you could see I look like I am trying to get away from the camera. It felt like I was about to kiss it.

One of the neat things we were able to experience was Ripleys Believe it or not Museum. That was fun and farely cheap especially for Homeschool families. Malia really enjoyed it,seeing all of the unique items and reading the interesting facts. There was one section that was creepy we try to avoid those types of areas but you had to go through it to get to the rest.
Well, even though the leaves had not changed yet the mountains were still absolutely gorgeous!! I would have to give Gatlinburg a 7 on my scale of vacation spots. It was fun, and the view was gorgeous!!!

Being up in Gatlinburg really got my mind going on ideas for Fall and Halloween. There was already tons of stuff up there decorated for all of the festivities that will go on. There was a lot of scary stuff that I try to avoid but it was everywhere. So I came back and was inspired to design some Fall/Halloween files. The next three will be in the available files sections tomorrow for purchase!!! Plus do not miss out I am putting all of my files on sale tomorrow!!!! Yep that's right 40% off!!!! Rainy Day Monday!!!

It has been raining here all day in Eastern Tn. It has made me some what want to just read and nap but it is much needed here in this area. Feels like Fall!! Today has been an interesting day, my daughter who is twelve blessed me today with just sitting and sharing her heart with me. She expressed to me that she is realizing that as you grow and get older life gets harder and responsibility comes into play. She really is not fond of this and would like to go back to being about 8 yrs old. She is struggling with a few things and so this was weighing on her heavily. Praise God though because she came to me and talked with me about it and then cried in my arms. I am so blessed that she felt comfortable enough to talk with me. I believe that this is how God wants us to be with our children and how he wants them to be with us. There are so many teenage girls out there lost and looking for directions, we have to pray that they " will turn their hearts to their fathers and mothers " and that the parents will turn their hearts to them. So while we are living in this time of ipods and cell phones, computers, video games and just about anything you can think of I encourage you all tonight to shut everything off for the evening and spend some much needed time with the kideos one on one. Whether it is playing a boardgame or just sitting and having conversation. Our kids desire for us to be in their lives. Make it fun, hey you could even scrapbook with your daughter with this cute new free file!!!
So after all the conversations with my daughter today I thought that a file about family would be perfect. A Day Late!!!

Good Morning!!!! So I was out yesterday doing some much needed shopping with my great coupons!!! I was able to score muellers whole wheat pasta for .25 cents!! Woo Hoo. I picked up 45 boxes of it and only paid like $7.50. I love couponing!!! Anyway since I was gone all day I did not get to post anything on my blog especially the freebie. So I am putting it up this morning along with two new files that are for sale. This morning in Eastern Tn is is only about 57 degrees out and only going to about 82 today so it truly does feel like it is time start scrapping again!! So get those cutters out and make some great projects. Enjoy them and happy scrapping!!!!

I created this file for pictures that I took of a homeschooling project. It was so much fun. My children were learning about the Ancient Egyptians and one of the projects was for Matthew to be wrapped up like a mummy. It was so much fun. Friends, Fun, and lots of Laughter!!!

God has so blessed us in our lives. No matter where he lands us whether it be for a short season or for a long time he always blesses us with wonderful people. I truly believe that God created us to be in relationship with others continually and I love to be able to watch that happen in my children. What a fun weekend!! Matthew (the one in the middle) was blessed this weekend by having some of his friends over to play and sleepover. This is Nicodemus and Barouk. They are two very sweet little boys. As you can see all three of them went through costumes, constantly switching roles and laughing all the way. I do not even think yoda could keep up with all three of these boys. They all enjoyed playing star wars, and they had lightsaber battles and then at one point I saw the dinosaurs out and then of course their was the clammer of little feet all over the house. Up and then down and then repeat!!! One of the cutiest moments was when Nicodemus had bumped his head on our little table in the kitchen and he started to cry a little like it hurt and I told him to let me look at it and he came over and told me that he was scared because it hit his lucky brain parts!!! I have never heard that before!! I had him count to ten and then I kissed him on the head. He turned and looked at me and said " Oh my lucky brain part doesn't hurt anymore!!"
Bed time of course had some comical value of it own. As we tucked them all in for the night we told them that they could watch some of Planet 51 to help them wind down. As we were doing this my son Matthew looks over at Kevin and I and says " It feels so good to have my friends with me spending the night." Well of course my heart just melted for that and it made me want to have his friends over all of the time. Then they all wanted to pray. As each of them prayed they really lifted up their little hearts to God and then when Nicodemus was finishing his prayer, Kevin and I could not help but laugh. He wanted to thank God for Kevin and I letting him stay at our home but he could not remember Kevin's name. It went something like this... " Lord in heaven I thank you for Mr. and Mrs. Crystal " Oh it was so funny. Thank You Lord for the hearts of these 5 and 6 yr old boys that all three of them will grow to live their lives for you God. Thanks for reading!!!!

A Fresh Start

I am finally back on my blog. It has been hard for me to come here. You see the last entry I made was on October 1, 2009 and on the next day was when I found out that my 12 week pregnancy had ended, that the baby had died. It was a terrible day and many times when I would come back to the blog I would see that date and just cry!!! I have conquered that now with the help of my heavenly Father!! He so graciously showed me one morning that I just needed to give it all to him. So I did and here I am back on the blog.

So much to catch up on! My husband and I have decided to put our home up for sale and when it sells move on back to sunny Florida. This in my opinion has been the hand of the Lord also because I have never in my life been able to call anywhere home before and just recently I found myself longing for home. For the first time that name actually had a place with it. It is Florida. For anyone that knows me they know that I would have never called Florida home but God has shown me in the last yr and a half that that is exactly what Florida was and is for me. Home.
Humility has been a regularity in my life lately. God has been weeding in my heart showing me how my attitude was stinky in Florida and that he took me out of Florida to show me the beauty and splendor of the state but more importantly the beauty and splendor of the people that we know there. He has revealed to me that I did not see nor appreciate the love that came from those that surrounded us. So I am eager to get back although the Lord has given us wonderful people here in Tn to enjoy and experience life with. Therefore we will be sad to say good-bye and will miss them all greatly. My goal is to love them all as much as possible with the time that we have left here.
Well I will post more tonight or tomorrow but right now I am off to get some much needed groceries.

Yes that is right, I am expecting. After two years of trying to have a baby the Lord has smiled upon us. Did you know that the bible says children are a reward. We are so happy!!!
Here is some history of us. Before we were wed I was diagnosed with Endometriosis and they told me that they didn't think we could have children but if we wanted them that now would be our best shot. ( I had just had a surgery that burned most of the endo they had found.) So we walked away alittle overwhelmed but knew that we both wanted children and also that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. So we were married a small humble wedding. Afterwards we had a church pray over us and within 3 weeks we were pregnant with our daughter who is now 11. When Malia was 3 mths old my endo started coming back and the docs just told me it was depression. We went ahead and started trying for another child in fear that we would not be able to have another child. Since my doctor would not listen to anything I figured it was time to move on. Ladies let me tell you this always listen to your body and the Holy Spirit let it guide you and do not let any doctor tell you that you are wrong, or crazy, or depressed. After 2 years of searching for a new doctor I found one. His name is Doctor Rojas and his office was in Inverness FL, He was the only one that was willing to listen to me and he put me in for another surgery. Sure enough he found endo and he burned it off for me. He recommended that I start a pretty serious medicine called Lupron that it could possibly stop the endo. I had to take this medication for 7 months and it basically put me through menopause. When it was over my menstrual cycle resumed to normal and with in 2 mths of going of the meds We got pregnant, ( a time period of about 4 1/2 yrs had passed since the birth of our daughter.) We found out at 6 weeks that we were pregnant with twins, it was very exciting. Unfortunately it just wasn't time for that. I miscarried both twins at around 9 weeks. That was hard. I cannot even describe how it feels. Praise the Lord that 3 mths later I was pregnant with my son who is now 5 yrs old. So now we can almost come current. We moved to Tn from Fl when my son was 2 and when he turned 3 we started trying for our 3rd child. It took two yrs but we are now pregnant. Words cannot express how excited we are. I have some exciting news. I have just become the latest designer to join the VDBC team. If you aren't sure who this is or what this is, it is Visual designs by Chris. This is a website that sells digital die cutter files and also has many neat little extras like challenges and a cool Bingo. These are files that can be used with most of the die cutting machines out there. For Example KNK Craft Robo Wishblade, Pazzles, and even Cricut. Isn't that exciting. Ladies do you realize how convenient it is to buy files instead of sitting at your computer trying to think up what font your going to use or which image you want to cut. You know as well as I do part of one of the goals of scrapbooking is finding a way to get great pages without spending 2 or 3 hours on one page.This really helps eliminate some of that time.Another thing is think about how you go into the store like any one of the craft stores out there and you search for that perfect sticker or die cut to add to your page. You finally find it pay anywhere from 2.99 -5.99 and up go to the register buy and then go home and use it. Thats it. You can only use it once. Or you could go to Visual designs by Chris find the category you are searching in, choose a design, purchase it, download it and then it is yours to make again and again for your pages or cards or projects. There are endless possibilities and it is a one time purchase. I think it is awesome and I am so thrilled to be able to offer people fun , cute , and creative die cuts. The Goodness of the Father & Apology for my absentmindness

God is so awesome and he once again proved it to me this morning. Not that he has anything to prove to me. When I got online this morning right there on Yahoo was pictures of the two journalist Euna Lee and Laura ling being reunited with their families. I clicked to watch the slideshow of pics and my heart just broke and the tears started slowly flowing down my face. How joyous of a moment that must have been for these woman. I sit and think about what they must have faced while they were in N.Korea. I cannot imagine the thoughts they must have pondered about their future. In the article it talked about that Laura Ling said they thought they were about to go to a hard labor camp but when they got to where they were going they looked up and seen Bill Clinton. Can you imagine. Some people would say that this has nothing to do with God, but I disagree, God's hand is on these woman and he saved them from the fate of a hard labor camp or even worse death by execution. Thank you Lord.

Now I would like to make an apology to all of the people who posted comments on my blog last week. See I am new to the blog scene and I just found those comments today!! Oh isn't that sad. I mentioned in my last post that this blog is going to mainly be about my two favorite things and today I am going to blog about my scrapbooking journey. I have really been in the mood lately to scrapbook and I think it is because of the rain. ( in fact as soon as I am done with this I am loading the kids up and taking a trip to Hobby Lobby) Anywho I have some new designs and I need some input ladies. I am new to the blogging scene and I think it will be a great place for feedback. These designs will be going onto my website next week for sale, but if you like them and let me know now I will email them to you for free. Yes I said for free!!!! One more thing, I am needing all the help I can get so if any of you more experienced bloggers could give me any advice I will be very willing to accept it. I wouldn't mention names or anything but (Sandy and Chris, and many more.) I have seen and read some great blogs.LOL!!! Ok I have to go now and go buy paper and I might try the new glimmer mist it looks so pretty especially on flowers. Talk to you later.

Ok so I really suck at posting for P90x, Yes we are still doing it, We did have to stop for about two weeks while the family went through a terrible stomach flu. I will continue to post about P90x, but just at a monthly basis. I am now redirecting by blog to more family things and of course my favorite hobbies in the world. One of them is the Lord God almighty. This is where I will express what the Lord is speaking to me at the time and then the other is no other than scrapbooking. Week 2 of P90x...Legs and Back
Ahh..yes the dreaded legs and back routine. This is our second time doing this and last time we could only do 30 mins of this hour long workout. This is an hour of pull-ups, squats, lunges, and anything else that will make your legs feel like they are on fire. For example we at one point have to put our backs up against the wall and have our legs at a 90 degree angle for 30 second intervals. Talk about your muscles burning!!! I will post afterwards how we did and if we were able to make it for the whole hour. I am praying so, we already feel stronger this week!!!

Getting started with P90x ( the first week)
Well, first of all let me just say that this aint no sissy girl workout, I don't even think this is the girl's that could kick everyone's butt in the eighth grade workout. Talk about being sore. Kevin and I both ached all over during this week. Who knew that I would be more sore from Yoga than from any of the other workouts. So here is our schedule for the next 3 weeks. Chest and back, plyometrics, shoulders and arms, YogaX, Legs and back, KenpoX and you have to do ab ripper x three times a week I will try to keep everyone posted on our progress and we might try to get some before pics up pretty soon. When we finish we will post our before and after measurements. Kevin and I can both say that even though it has only been a week we both feel stronger!!! 1 week down and 11 weeks to go.

Why P90x?
I have been on alittle bit of a fitness kick for about a year and a half now. First let me define that for you. In January of 2008 I weighed 174 pounds. For those of you that know me you know that 174 lbs is not good for me. I should weigh around 135 or so. But as always my God came through and blessed me with a very intelligent and caring woman named Carmen Zarkowski. Carmen as I know her is a wonderful woman who homeschools her children and also ventures in the educational side of nutrition and fitness. In a nut shell she really knows what she is doing. She sat with me and showed me how to eat and how to work out. I was very disciplined for about six months and in that time I lost 24lbs. I went from a tight 14 to a snug but wearable 10. Yey Me!!! Of course the busyness of life set in and I slowly but surely walked away from my great new eating habits. Not completely but I was breaking just about every rule there was. Well now I want to lose the 15-20 lbs I have left and at the same time get healthy and strong and feel great. During my time of transition my husband had shown an interest in getting healthy also. Our local gym is about 20 min from our house( we live way out in the country) so us meeting there everyday just was not going to happen. I wanted a good steady routine to do at home that would be appealing to both of us. Most of the do at home workouts that you come across are geared toward women and are alittle cheesy for men. When I came across P90x it was the exact opposite. It's totally geared towards men and women and it is very interesting and keeps changing up the whole 90 days. This was something that Kevin was willing to try at home and it was something that both of us could do together without spending hundreds of dollars at the gym. All we needed was some dumbells, a chin up bar, and the dvds, and we were ready to go!!!

Welcome to the Little Family Blog,

Hello, and welcome . This blog is going to consist of little things that are happening in our little family. Feel free check back occasionally to see what we are up too. For those of you who do not know us we are a family of four. Kevin and I have a little boy who is 5 and a daughter who is almost 11(in fact monday June 29th is the big day) The motivation behind this blog is the adventure Kevin and I have recently embarked upon. We are in week 2 of our brand new work out called P90x. That is going to be my first posts!!!
