<br />
Hey Everyone, I hope everyone is thawing out from the weather we had this past weekend. It was even super cold here in the sunshine state. I barely got out of my pajamas on Saturday. lol<br />
Anyway here is my latest project that is now in my etsy shop. This was a request from a client and I have to say that it was fun. Here it is....<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKiIhoZTpWM7mdIV6TpU6uNgY7mW6LY3ODUAX7onMk_J0YqbkkT4ygwjYGr40kX1UU89UzBb0AQEC_zb78Ls8uPE-Nvyc4tdUX9_Gy0fzdk2jwtAZa4GZDJOEokv0iZiZmjw9LRl3aXUI/s1600/IMG_0013.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhKiIhoZTpWM7mdIV6TpU6uNgY7mW6LY3ODUAX7onMk_J0YqbkkT4ygwjYGr40kX1UU89UzBb0AQEC_zb78Ls8uPE-Nvyc4tdUX9_Gy0fzdk2jwtAZa4GZDJOEokv0iZiZmjw9LRl3aXUI/s400/IMG_0013.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
Aren't these so adorable. She is having a fun mermaid birthday party for her little girl and these are going to be the cupcake toppers. Sometimes I want my daughter to be little again so I can throw parties like this for her again. Although this yr she graduates and I think we are going to be doing like a Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland theme. I am going to have fun with that one!!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhphUHJsU431HcRKoK50wZUD8thtWBe53mvCX_YiHQlszqU_XeHHPRxNV7do5krnBhgerMVBMDYQKdvFRcZOqh07iKQKFzLqQPR16ZZ6IULZRG3Q3M_9DcEVssm-SUi-am13aG8BTUW9Fw/s1600/IMG_0014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhphUHJsU431HcRKoK50wZUD8thtWBe53mvCX_YiHQlszqU_XeHHPRxNV7do5krnBhgerMVBMDYQKdvFRcZOqh07iKQKFzLqQPR16ZZ6IULZRG3Q3M_9DcEVssm-SUi-am13aG8BTUW9Fw/s400/IMG_0014.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
Now these beauties were a little bit of work let me tell you. I embossed the front of the body and then I ran the tail through my crinkler ( I don't know the real name of that thing lol) . Finally I took four different colors of stickles and one by one decorated the tail. That was of course the most time consuming.<br />
<br />
I am going to be trying some different colors and such with these to change it up a bit for my etsy shop. I am also going to be extending my shop in the future to include svg files for all of you that have machines to cut with.<br />
<br />
Well thats all for today thanks for stopping by and remember you can visit my shop anytime at MnMPapercreations.<br />

<span style="color: #20124d; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><i><br /></i></span>
<span style="color: #20124d; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><i> I hope you are having a marvelous Saturday! Enjoying family, friends and loved ones. I have been busy in my craft room creating some fun gifts for a bridal shower. I really like finding unique items for parties or showers. Whenever I am in Target or Walmart or even places like Party City you always see the same things over and over again and I know that for me I really want my event to stand out, to look different, and (for our world wide web dimension we live in right now) to be Pinterest worthy! When I saw this shoe file I knew I had to have it and will be using it for many events! This file comes from the one and only <a href="http://svgcuts.com/" target="_blank">svgcuts.com</a> it is part of there Love Always kit. It is one of their older kits but to be honest I don't think any of their files ever get old. I just love Mary and Leo for their contribution to the craft world!! Thanks guys!! </i></span><br />
<span style="color: #20124d; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><i> I will tell you that when you purchase this kit ( which is a steal at $6.99) and open up this file it looks somewhat daunting at first. However it is actually super simple to put together. Mary has numbered everything and even has an assembly tutorial on the web page. It took no time at all to put this together. </i></span><br />
<span style="color: #20124d; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><i><br /></i></span>
<span style="color: #20124d; font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><i>So here is my high heel shoe that I absolutely love!!!</i></span><br />

It has been a very long time since I have been on my blog. I am happy to say after about 4 yrs of moving and transition we are finally settled into our new home and I am now able to have a craft room again and get back to doing what I love.<br />
We have settled back in Florida actually right back where we left over 9 yrs ago. It is funny how God likes to bring us full circle. We actually ended up building our house on the five acres that we had purchased 14 yrs ago. I always thought we would sell it and live some where else but here are back and I couldn't be happier!!<br />
My family and I have had an amazing journey and have been able to meet God in new ways and experience life the way he meant for us to live it. It is absolutely beautiful and wildly fun!!!!<br />
<br />
Anyways let me get to the project! ( thats why you come here anyway right!) So I am a big fan of svgcuts.com Mary and Leo are amazingly talented people and I am so stoked that they share their talents with us!! I had been looking for a cute umbrella to make for a baby shower to use as a favor box and in their inspiration gallery one of their designers had come up with a super cute umbrella for a cupcake topper. So with a little bit of tweaking I was able to come up with what I needed for the shower.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrwF570F1k1DSXrBY7qb0VKVa5AcznzipJg8JMhK2LNaaF3Wywr64NZ2Bmmmy1-Db7POA99aJSv_4VjcSwpZ9zEUfVH_zppM3N8ug-5aEibw0tSWa_uKFr8YVa2RsAtvHeWVTW3gV_GVA/s1600/IMG_2933.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhrwF570F1k1DSXrBY7qb0VKVa5AcznzipJg8JMhK2LNaaF3Wywr64NZ2Bmmmy1-Db7POA99aJSv_4VjcSwpZ9zEUfVH_zppM3N8ug-5aEibw0tSWa_uKFr8YVa2RsAtvHeWVTW3gV_GVA/s400/IMG_2933.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
I absolutely love love love how this came out. Now the colors are teal and white. I think next time I will do a pattern paper just to make it little more fun, but this was for a more formal shower so I kept it simple. The paper is a shimmer cardstock. The white is from Michaels, the teal is Bazzill Atlantis. It is hard to see in the pick but they both have a really pretty glimmer to them. I only had a few candies left from Christmas otherwise I would more than likely use hershey kisses or something like that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8EDqXNDy1MM27B_4MiMTCjboHxEvc60E7fWS_NmN9IIkRa92v7K2N91clpKtJYNVOALsoL1Hk5FxqhBtPeiznxONk4ChzaKmnzUMGOz-72uGtow28_6nAJ4J9IEsLYtln98vRhXgBYTo/s1600/IMG_2934.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8EDqXNDy1MM27B_4MiMTCjboHxEvc60E7fWS_NmN9IIkRa92v7K2N91clpKtJYNVOALsoL1Hk5FxqhBtPeiznxONk4ChzaKmnzUMGOz-72uGtow28_6nAJ4J9IEsLYtln98vRhXgBYTo/s400/IMG_2934.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
This little flower I purchased through the silhouette studio store. I am not sure of the designer but it was uber easy to cut and then I just distressed it with my Stamping up Tempting Turquoise stamp pad. I used a leaf from my ecal 2 software to add more detail.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyp1gxzt28YBWoUUbEaBC44ORTeklASzPdd0_hUYEmFx-oP-kmC1owi9Bkab4FWtckG-ZlKgoW6aF5oMzPgT7N3u5XF23VboafJrnyZVAWdqqKGzM7lizjKE31_y3YbR-BKI_LyfZw91A/s1600/IMG_2935.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyp1gxzt28YBWoUUbEaBC44ORTeklASzPdd0_hUYEmFx-oP-kmC1owi9Bkab4FWtckG-ZlKgoW6aF5oMzPgT7N3u5XF23VboafJrnyZVAWdqqKGzM7lizjKE31_y3YbR-BKI_LyfZw91A/s400/IMG_2935.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
The umbrella file itself actually comes from the Fun and Games svg kit. You can check that kit out <a href="http://www.svgcuts.com/" target="_blank">here</a>. You will use the baseball cap file, you do some node editing and then you have an umbrella. You can find complete instructions in the project gallery for svgcuts. This umbrella favor was a lot of fun to make and it really didn't take a long time. I love it when what I see in my head becomes a reality in front of me.<br />

That doesn't happen to anyone else does it? lol! Anyway I have a quick post today with a video tutorial.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
I absolutely LOVE the Silhouette Online Store. It is awesome and the files that are on there are awesome too! Well I no longer have the Cameo because in the my last post you were able to see that I decided to keep the Sizzix Eclips 2. Well I had already subscribed to the silhouette store and had purchased several files. So I knew I needed to figure out a way to use them.<br /><br />
<br /><br />
I had actually seen a post on a forum describing what to do. I went ahead and tried it but had to tweak a few things to get mine to work. Here is a video that shows you how to use those files so you don't feel like you wasted your money.<br /><br />

<br /><br />
Have a great night everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog!!<br /><br />

I apologize. Hopefully some of my followers will stick around. I have been experiencing some major shifting in life in the last 2 yrs and am finally starting to see settled ground! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Anyway you are here for inspiration right? Paper craft inspiration to be exact. That is what I can give you today!! </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Recently I purchased a new die cutting machine. Actually I purchased two because I wasnt sure which one I wanted. I purchased both the Silhouette Cameo and the New Sizzix Eclips 2. The Cameo because I love the online store and everyone raves about this machine so I figured it has to be good. The Eclips 2 because it looked great and the grams of force is 700. Thats as much as my Zing had. I liked my Zing but I had to buy a Mac and the software just wasn't 100% percent functional yet with the Mac so I sold the Zing. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Here is a photo of both machines: </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6wxVBNuxX27wx46RdKgI7DdVMYkdiFIMqjXxy0IntY3k5kn4DOOaEgMc6R5PEuURD3nIpmhCU0YbYjGRXGUS29hNdLFKzfJv40moBoGalbvE56d3W3hqQOqY0ABjS5Su_9iuyG-L-kvE/s1600/Screen+Shot+2014-09-04+at+6.26.46+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj6wxVBNuxX27wx46RdKgI7DdVMYkdiFIMqjXxy0IntY3k5kn4DOOaEgMc6R5PEuURD3nIpmhCU0YbYjGRXGUS29hNdLFKzfJv40moBoGalbvE56d3W3hqQOqY0ABjS5Su_9iuyG-L-kvE/s1600/Screen+Shot+2014-09-04+at+6.26.46+PM.png" height="219" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTg2bE38IPLZYNepOzM5GbARkYIal7Oter8_WxO27hXMIo02jtzLH6g-LKVHAp7otdTyubdN7nNl6wJkCY9YiSuxVSQZNgJy5GeDoRG_Y39WuzM5-tOCQfVgvKvNRDVEfgrt6XWifmn8g/s1600/Screen+Shot+2014-09-04+at+6.27.28+PM.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTg2bE38IPLZYNepOzM5GbARkYIal7Oter8_WxO27hXMIo02jtzLH6g-LKVHAp7otdTyubdN7nNl6wJkCY9YiSuxVSQZNgJy5GeDoRG_Y39WuzM5-tOCQfVgvKvNRDVEfgrt6XWifmn8g/s1600/Screen+Shot+2014-09-04+at+6.27.28+PM.png" height="170" width="320" /></a></div>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">So I tried both of the machines and I want to tell you which one I picked.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">I ended up keeping the Sizzix Eclips 2!! I LOVE IT! It cuts smooth and quick and it is quieter. The Silhouette just didn't seem like it was going to last and I did test cutting and the silhouette just couldn't cut as clean and as well as the eclips. The Eclips is very easy with the blade and the placement of the mat. The software which is the ECAL software it is good but not great. It needs some updates. It needs a knife tool and just some all around improvement in the designing area. It would be great if it had as many options as Make the Cut. However the plus is that it is Mac compatible and that is what I need. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Finally here is the inspiration that you came here for in the first place. I have a beautiful friend who recently celebrated her son's 1st birthday and was in need of some Party Bling!! So of course with me having a new machine I was all about helping her out. Here are the few things I created for the party. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">It was so much fun!!! One of my favorite things so far about the Eclips 2 is the fact that it cuts extremely accurately. I didn't waste any paper with this project. That is huge. I usually waste paper trying to get my stuff just right and it just went really smooth with the Eclips. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, serif;">Thanks everyone and I promise I will be sharing more stuff pretty soon!!</span><br />

I know that it has been a long time since I have posted especially anything about papercrafting but I have settled in down here in Florida and am ready to start crafting again. </font></p> <p><font size="4">I will be changing the name of my blog soon because I well, no longer own a cricut. I thought about this decision for a long time and came to the conclusion that I just felt limited with the cricut and I wanted full design capability. So I actually turned back to the company that I started with as far as having a larger cutting machine. I went with the KNK Zing! </font></p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-DrygO_3JCKI/UHhWeK0M-CI/AAAAAAAAAhQ/_o6PrCftZU4/s1600-h/Zing%25255B3%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="Zing" border="0" alt="Zing" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-FZrRi47VFRk/UHhWfbmUONI/AAAAAAAAAhY/CuxJp_Jqtag/Zing_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="317" height="160" /></a><font size="4"></font></p> <p><font size="4">So far I love this machine. I used to own the KNK Element and I loved it but I was using it for a business that eventually burned me out when it came to designing anything. That is when I decided to invest in the cricut machine. Now that I’ve had a break  I realized how much I enjoyed having the ability to design if I want to.  </font></p> <p><font size="4">Here are a few things that I have done so far with the machine:</font></p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-ZmJoDat2mXQ/UHhWhIEr5NI/AAAAAAAAAhg/E6Tc7sdrb1g/s1600-h/photo%25252821%252529%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="photo(21)" border="0" alt="photo(21)" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-f-clW69he8c/UHhWkn_Ho9I/AAAAAAAAAho/OGxljV3IiPQ/photo%25252821%252529_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="340" height="260" /></a></p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-2M-zO_5kZpY/UHhWlyxEQ0I/AAAAAAAAAhw/5DDis_6L5mU/s1600-h/photo%25252824%252529%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="photo(24)" border="0" alt="photo(24)" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-NZ3spI_L4sI/UHhWny4GR0I/AAAAAAAAAh4/IztwyWcMDHQ/photo%25252824%252529_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="344" height="263" /></a></p> <p><font size="4">This was a fun little treat box that I created in MTC. That is one of the neatest things about the Zing is that it comes with MTC! So for anyone that was using it with their cricut they do not have to worry about learning a new software. </font></p> <p><font size="4">This is the first box I have ever created and I really liked how it turned out. I will be putting this file in the <a href="http://knkusa.com" target="_blank">knkusa.com</a> file section for purchase. My son gave this to his teacher filled with the new pumpkin spice hershey kisses! They are yummy by the way!!!</font></p> <p><font size="4">Next thing I created was for my dining room table! I wanted to decorate it for fall and I was looking for a pumpkin. Well I found the perfect one over at <a href="http://svgcuts.com" target="_blank">svg cuts</a> . This website is amazing. They have the best svg files I have ever seen. I am convinced that I need to have a separate account just to fund the files that I want to purchase from this site. If you have not checked them out I encourage you to. You will not regret it. Plus there is always a great kit that is free with purchase!! Plus they have some really great free svg’s.  </font></p> <p><font size="4">Here is my pumpkin:</font></p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-n_nwKa9deAE/UHhWpLcBn9I/AAAAAAAAAiA/1096rkB1sF4/s1600-h/photo%25252822%252529%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="photo(22)" border="0" alt="photo(22)" src="http://lh4.ggpht.com/--hyIomJISgI/UHhWqa7SylI/AAAAAAAAAiI/aFEiX-bX9dE/photo%25252822%252529_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="349" height="267" /></a></p> <p><a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-C0Z562Dl6ug/UHhWsalERmI/AAAAAAAAAiQ/iaaJHlA8OPE/s1600-h/photo%25252823%252529%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-bottom: 0px; border-left: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; border-top: 0px; border-right: 0px; padding-top: 0px" title="photo(23)" border="0" alt="photo(23)" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-jkhznwGz2Eg/UHhWtfO_z2I/AAAAAAAAAiY/q38nS0ymP9Q/photo%25252823%252529_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" width="350" height="268" /></a></p> <p><font size="4">This is from their Pick a Pumpkin kit. It has a ton of files in it and they are all so much fun. I am not done with this yet. I am going to make a white smaller pumpkin and then I am going to add some mums that I purchased from svg cuts. I will post those picks when I get them done. </font></p> <p><font size="4">So that is what I have been up to. I will be blogging regularly next week.  So come back and check it out. If you have any questions about the Zing let me know!!! It was hard to choose between it and the Cameo but I chose the zing because of the different specs. If you want to know more specifics message me!!! </font></p> <p><font size="4">Blessings</font></p> Crystalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11925355306841082551noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14658240661375136.post-42203498287874023542012-02-13T11:12:00.001-05:002012-02-13T11:12:41.557-05:00Fun with Puns!!!!<p><font color="#800000" size="3">Good Monday Morning all!  First and foremost I must tell you that as of right now my comments are still not working. I am in the process of downloading Google Chrome and I really hope that fixes the problems. When I come onto a blog even my own I only have a few seconds to look at the comments and then my screen goes white. I am hoping to have it fixed with in the next few hours I will let you know. You have all been doing such awesome work and I have not been able to comment on it. Or even get to read my own comments that you all have left.  UGH!!!!</font></p> <p><font color="#800000" size="3">As you know by now Monday means many things, school, work, responsibility and once again a FCCB Challenge!!! </font></p> <p><font color="#800000" size="3">This weeks challenge is one that I find rather enjoyable. They are all enjoyable but this one fits my style. This weeks challenge is called Fun with Puns. Create a card or project using a funny pun somewhere on the project. </font></p> <p><font color="#800000" size="3">There are so many great punny titles out there that it was very hard to figure out what I wanted to do. I must admit that we do not really keep up with football but I grew up a Giants fan and whenever they are in it I watch. So it was pretty neat that the last Superbowl I watched was the one 4 yrs ago where they played and beat the Patriots and then being able to watch last night a repeat was awesome!! (Sorry</span></span><span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"><span style="font-size:130%;"> for the Patriots fans)<br /><br />Now onto today's challenge over at FCCB. Love is in the air..everytime I turn around..LOL!!! Well today's challenge is</span></span><span style="color: rgb(51, 0, 51);"><span style="font-size:130%;"> exactly that, Love is in the air challenge. I thought that this would be great to fill with some Valentines day goodies for my 13 yr old daughter. She is not into the cutesy stuff anymore. Hello Kitty and Disney princesses dont really get her wheels going any more so I wanted to do something more mature and came up with this. I simply used the CTMH Art Philosophy Cartridge ( love it by the way!!) for the bag and the front layer heart. Then I used some crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot. I love that ribbon it is the best!!!! Lastly I just added a cardstock handle so that it was good and sturdy.<br /><br />So there it is and now it is your turn to work on your project for the challenge. Just make sure that you use at least one cricut cut and for this challenge use a heart on your project!!!<br /><br />Have fun and Happy Monday!!!!!<a href="http://kandrewdesigns.blogspot.com/"><span style="font-weight: bold;"></span><br /></a>Crystalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11925355306841082551noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14658240661375136.post-75981753547066981372012-01-30T12:23:00.002-05:002012-01-30T12:24:45.630-05:00Sorry this took me so long to post, I have had alot going on this morning and will probably be leaving for upstate NY really soon!!<br />This week for Challenge Me Monday on FCCB is to make a 3x3 Valentine's day card. Here is the Card that I made:<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwR6ehvz2IMOlD3EIZxIdcz5oTUPE8XIB-8vNFkQ6KTXwSotRTg_o7duZhvPyAuyVaOuWVqt5jrZaMmoPZ-ezxu9GbDjpLPL_lii4K-coX5Kxln7IpXHKIQnb0s2bXyTaB4MVua49aUps/s1600/IMG_4199.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 298px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwR6ehvz2IMOlD3EIZxIdcz5oTUPE8XIB-8vNFkQ6KTXwSotRTg_o7duZhvPyAuyVaOuWVqt5jrZaMmoPZ-ezxu9GbDjpLPL_lii4K-coX5Kxln7IpXHKIQnb0s2bXyTaB4MVua49aUps/s320/IMG_4199.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5703477164969591090" border="0" /></a><br />I simply cut a piece of cardstock to 3x3 then embossed it with the cuttlebug added some bling!! I also cut a scalloped circle out of vellum inked it in silver ink and then embossed it with the hearts cuttlebug folder. I really liked the outcome of that circle. I used the Be Mine sentiment from Simply charmed and then finally added the flower and pink ribbon.<br />This was a very simple card but none the less very fun and I think it came out cute.!!<br /><br />Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to make your own 3x3 Valentines card for the Challenge over at FCCB!<br /><br />God BlessCrystalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11925355306841082551noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14658240661375136.post-3033699461953953942012-01-16T09:54:00.006-05:002012-01-16T10:27:33.613-05:00Snow Fun!!! Challenge Me Monday!!!Hi everyone! I know that it has been a long time since I have been on my blog and I wish that I could say that it wont happen again but I cant. I am so busy with homeschooling my kids and trying to get in shape and keeping the house organized that blogging has been set on the back burner. I will try to get on here when I can and of course I will be on when there are Challenges for FCCB.... that leads me to today.<br /><br />Today is Monday and that means it is time for another Challenge over at <a href="http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/">FCCB</a>. Today the challenge is Snow fun and that is a perfect theme for this part of the year and it is a really fun theme too. So many ideas came to my mind when preparing for this challenge.<br /><br />I was so blessed to be able to use EAD designs on my project this week they have the cutest stickers and rub ons and I found the perfect way to use them on my project.<br /><br />Here is my project ( sorry I am still not good at taking pics)<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxkLv7m4QzrTABjrimP7DKSxtt7OdNnCQ1jWCWO58_TfokQJylNnwwFVFGYZqXz9zzwhNrfuf2G2Hr18ffI_af6pekL3TQDRpLkJdjpNa9cgsjYlwrFKgtqXF_GTFACZO0l5GWSIO1d78/s1600/IMG_4188.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxkLv7m4QzrTABjrimP7DKSxtt7OdNnCQ1jWCWO58_TfokQJylNnwwFVFGYZqXz9zzwhNrfuf2G2Hr18ffI_af6pekL3TQDRpLkJdjpNa9cgsjYlwrFKgtqXF_GTFACZO0l5GWSIO1d78/s320/IMG_4188.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5698246974881479234" border="0" /></a><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMLoTJAx2iTDve3HOeUOv4vqwRBBRMv8iZ4iO5mcR3chuJE-wrZDRmU8t57vcf1LhUvFSUgTjR4xt8ARP3KYL4AZAql8WruiaOAl-DVDcBQQ_-XRqOUpBfYhXUAdIpnvdK8NjCBKAGhf8/s1600/IMG_4193.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMLoTJAx2iTDve3HOeUOv4vqwRBBRMv8iZ4iO5mcR3chuJE-wrZDRmU8t57vcf1LhUvFSUgTjR4xt8ARP3KYL4AZAql8WruiaOAl-DVDcBQQ_-XRqOUpBfYhXUAdIpnvdK8NjCBKAGhf8/s320/IMG_4193.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5698250104956602882" border="0" /></a>This was a fun layout and I am actually thinking about creating another one and making a double layout. I hand cut the hill of snow and then cut out the border on the Winter Frolic cartridge. I added some glue and sprinkled the white with snow sparkles. The Title was also cut with Winter Frolic and snow sparkled.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyn-CZTHduprV3XFShPvGTvuSvKODO_WdHUVsx7i2O_LTBJOa0qsVknfmNNMUB-5jN7Y3zjU_jjFrYVARhHGhh9naB81PMIycfzDXSRM-lSEtccZdMOah9TJw9WhEXC7T-CHA__Njsg1o/s1600/IMG_4192.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyn-CZTHduprV3XFShPvGTvuSvKODO_WdHUVsx7i2O_LTBJOa0qsVknfmNNMUB-5jN7Y3zjU_jjFrYVARhHGhh9naB81PMIycfzDXSRM-lSEtccZdMOah9TJw9WhEXC7T-CHA__Njsg1o/s320/IMG_4192.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5698248959445428514" border="0" /></a>The pond I cut from Create a critter through CCR because I needed to remove the waves from the pond.<br />Finally I used the EAD design stickers and decorated the photo mat and then of course that is where I got my ice skaters from!!! Arent they cute. I stuck them onto white paper first then cut them out and used pop dots!!<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJvwCKMvGkVEskA48qmJAnv9FTZpPZLNqCkjPSE7wYeuIx-bikZkITl3-BnP7o1J4MzHnckCoXteivIuy57cC32vyXwTrAvkUOUiFFXyHL-pP1LwQSlcOYRktj02dElhVUQBqxQS4lT4c/s1600/IMG_4191.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJvwCKMvGkVEskA48qmJAnv9FTZpPZLNqCkjPSE7wYeuIx-bikZkITl3-BnP7o1J4MzHnckCoXteivIuy57cC32vyXwTrAvkUOUiFFXyHL-pP1LwQSlcOYRktj02dElhVUQBqxQS4lT4c/s320/IMG_4191.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5698247789308794562" border="0" /></a>So now let's see what you can come up with for this challenge!! This layout is going in a scrapbook that I am making for my best friend. She lives in Florida but every year takes her little girl ice skating and I think this will be perfect!!<br /><br />Thanks for visiting today and I hope that I can be back more often than this last time. Maybe Biology and Algebra will get a little easier. Lol!!!! Thanks and have a great day!!!!Crystalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11925355306841082551noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14658240661375136.post-79190091967587469942011-12-12T09:21:00.007-05:002011-12-12T10:04:34.569-05:00FCCB Challenge Me Monday!!!!!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuCjDS6mKnTZavG9i0qsTRVgYcFXiVX0E8KlwCW8O2POECFNfCoDoEf5xHw8pkn3QDQfxEBQ-43NMI3rwhRvVVbgg4pgJkZ-Foqv3NX0b8Xjxg9hzVAGdwq7GflCT77bGkLr8VHdJOxG4/s1600/IMG_4081.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuCjDS6mKnTZavG9i0qsTRVgYcFXiVX0E8KlwCW8O2POECFNfCoDoEf5xHw8pkn3QDQfxEBQ-43NMI3rwhRvVVbgg4pgJkZ-Foqv3NX0b8Xjxg9hzVAGdwq7GflCT77bGkLr8VHdJOxG4/s320/IMG_4081.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685253233929721458" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br />Hi everyone!!! I pray that you are all doing well. I know that for me it has been somewhat crazy here around the house with all of the things that have to be done for Christmas!! I am so completely behind!!!<br />Well, today at FCCB there is another challenge and it is all about ribbon. The challenge is called Rolling in Ribbon and I was very blessed to have some ribbon given to me from My Craft spot to use in my project this week!!!!!!!!<br />Here is my project:<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWg18JkoOTz9rZsBPTyLB23hmPHUdUhPsiH4ab3pVU3SMFCRPlBjJ3abs_7IFL2F3I7VUGc8qU8Tvy-xC7quAYf-aSumLy43AfUcFPIw7LZR8WEqgGn92xevB-HAQKDHXxmmqkGgiuASA/s1600/IMG_4086.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWg18JkoOTz9rZsBPTyLB23hmPHUdUhPsiH4ab3pVU3SMFCRPlBjJ3abs_7IFL2F3I7VUGc8qU8Tvy-xC7quAYf-aSumLy43AfUcFPIw7LZR8WEqgGn92xevB-HAQKDHXxmmqkGgiuASA/s320/IMG_4086.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685250661983498370" border="0" /></a><br />Just a simple one page layout. I was able to use the vintage christmas ribbon with Vanilla, Cranberry and Toadally green from My Craft Spot. In the picture above is a sweet dear friend who was tragically killed this weekend in a small plane crash. For those of you in Florida I am sure that you have heard the news of a small plane crash in the everglades. This was his plane he was the pilot. This is such shocking news to all because he was such a good pilot and careful flyer!! We are all searching for answers and praying that the Lord will reveal this week to give closure especially to the family!<br />Ryan Ruano had to have been one of the funnest, sweetest, happiest people I have ever met. That smile on his face was a permanent fixture!! He lived his life to the fullest never missing a beat!!! Always doing the things that he loved and having a blast doing them!!<br />I moved to Florida when I was 19 and after a week of being there I met the man that I would marry Kevin!! Well 3 days after meeeting him I decided to walk down to the local hardware store where he worked to say hi. I remember that day meeting everyone that he worked with except Cheryl ( who later became my bestie!!!) Ryan was one of those people and there are so many memories of him at the store!<br />I can remember walking into the store to see Kevin and as I walked in through the front door from the back would come this tall, handsome young man and then " awwwwwwww!! What's up girlllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" in that tone of voice that only Ryan had!!!!<br />He will be missed by so many especially his Mom, Dad, and sister.<br /><br />Ryan, you were such an amazing soul!! When God created you he knew how your spirit would touch so many!! How your laughter and silliness would bring so much joy to so many. You took on life the way that most of us wish we could. We will all hold tight to the memories that we all have of you. Make sure you dance like never before up there in heaven and I know that you will have the angels themselves bowled over from laughter. Have fun up there and we all look forward to seeing you again!!! We love you and miss you already!!! Our hearts have forever been touched by your life. Rest in Peace with the Father my friend.<br /><h6 class="uiStreamMessage" ft="{"type":1}" style="font-family:georgia;"><span style="font-size:100%;"><span class="messageBody" ft="{"type":3}"><span> </span>Please, if you knew Ryan leave a comment on this post. All comments will be shown to family to let them know the extent of lives that their son touched!!!!<br /></span></span></h6>Crystalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11925355306841082551noreply@blogger.com14tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14658240661375136.post-58434643556109182992011-11-14T08:35:00.005-05:002011-11-14T19:04:25.267-05:00Lot's of Fun with FCCB Cricut Crawl today!!!!!<p style="text-align: center;" align="center"><span style="font-size:12pt;">Welcome to Little creations for the Cricut </span><span style="font-size:12pt;">and </span><span style="font-size:12pt;"> the </span><span style="font-size:12pt;"><b><span style="color:black;">Fantabulous Cricut Harvest Blessings Crawl</span></b></span><span style="font-size:12pt;">...Fantab</span><span style="font-size:12pt;">ulous Cricut's version of a blog hop! </span></p><span style="font-size:12pt;"> </span><p style="text-align: center;" align="center"><span style="font-size:12pt;">It's Fall and </span><span style="font-size:12pt;">everyone at Fantabulous Cricut has decided to </span><span style="font-size:12pt;">create projects to give thanks for our </span><span style="font-size:12pt;"><b>Harvest Blessings</b></span><span style="font-size:12pt;"><span>!</span></span><span style="font-size:12pt;"> Each Design Te</span><span style="font-size:12pt;">am member will be featuring an original Fall</span><span style="font-size:12pt;"> project that includes </span><span style="font-size:100%;"><b><span style="color: rgb(30, 28, 17);">Brown</span>, <span style="color: rgb(228, 108, 10);">Orange</span> and <span style="color: rgb(192, 0, 0);">Red</span></b></span><span style="font-size:100%;"> – along with at least one Cricut cut.</span></p> <p style="text-align: center;" align="center"><span style="font-size:100%;"><br /></span></p><span style="font-size:100%;"> </span><p style="text-align: center;" align="center"><span style="font-size:100%;">If you've come from visiting Charlotte</span><span style="font-size:100%;"> at </span><span style="font-size:100%;"> </span><span style="font-size:100%;"><a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://alittlebitofdetail.blogspot.com/"><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1321277462_11">alittleb</span></a></span><span style="font-size:100%;"><a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="http://alittlebitofdetail.blogspot.com/"><span class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1321277462_11">itofdetail.blogspot.com</span></a></span><span style="font-size:100%;">, you're in the right place! If you haven’t checked out their blog it is a must! This great team has something everyday for the paper lover in all of us!! Each Monday is a challenge me Monday and today happens to be Monday and so the challenge has begun!!!</p> <p>This weeks challenge is titled Book Lover. All you have to do is create something about books or with books. </p> <p>Well it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to make for this challenge. In fact I chuckled somewhat because I thought that this was pretty tough for my first challenge! LOL!! I was going to just do a layout but for some reason I didn’t want to so then I came up with this:<a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-qs7S39WHIa8/TrcbWwd6vlI/AAAAAAAAAaQ/idlw9aGVbX0/s1600-h/IMG_4043%25255B6%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px;" title="IMG_4043" alt="IMG_4043" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-3qLXH7oywgU/TrcbXYipLoI/AAAAAAAAAaY/CTlcNBPrF2M/IMG_4043_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" border="0" height="300" width="403" /></a></p> <p>Some of you may be wondering what this is exactly so let me explain. I am a homeschool mom and I have a 7 yr old son who is really starting to read quite well. In our school he has several books that he has to read and I thought that giving him the choice of which one to read next might be fun for him. </p> <p>So this is his u-pick book tree. When it is time for him to read a new book he will come to the tree and pick one of the books and it will have a title in it, that will be the book he will read next. </p> <p><a href="http://lh4.ggpht.com/-LzFYQFjexIM/TrcbYHJ4BTI/AAAAAAAAAag/-M5NaR6Sms0/s1600-h/IMG_4046%25255B7%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px;" title="IMG_4046" alt="IMG_4046" src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-0t-_J8I2h9A/TrcbY3vQ7FI/AAAAAAAAAao/c05QHcRTZbo/IMG_4046_thumb%25255B8%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" border="0" height="297" width="391" /></a></p> <p>This is one of the books. Each book has a title in it!! </p> <p><a href="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-ufeknK0MlzE/TrcbZtH7blI/AAAAAAAAAaw/KASbIjVuuzo/s1600-h/IMG_4048%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px;" title="IMG_4048" alt="IMG_4048" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-_nHNm9XVx90/TrcbaeYk0fI/AAAAAAAAAa4/P7dfc4gFWVw/IMG_4048_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" border="0" height="271" width="397" /></a></p> <p>I love the U-pick sign!! It is from the Camp out Cartridge.</p> <p> I just recently received the Simply Charmed Cartridge and I had to use it in this project I think I will love this cart!!!</p> <p><a href="http://lh3.ggpht.com/-eERK1gf5ma8/TrcbbqwxQsI/AAAAAAAAAbA/p65ag6CEBq0/s1600-h/IMG_4047%25255B5%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px;" title="IMG_4047" alt="IMG_4047" src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-V3sXiyCuxqo/TrcbcYQVqyI/AAAAAAAAAbI/b2Ji2Or1o34/IMG_4047_thumb%25255B3%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" border="0" height="272" width="398" /></a></p> <p>Here is a shot from above you can see how I put different layers of grass in bottom. <a href="http://lh6.ggpht.com/-4SXflTxjEPY/TrcbdUJlPLI/AAAAAAAAAbQ/FHvwtt5Bg2E/s1600-h/IMG_4049%25255B4%25255D.jpg"><img style="background-image: none; border-width: 0px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; padding-top: 0px;" title="IMG_4049" alt="IMG_4049" src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/-688WkiaKC6c/TrcbeVuo12I/AAAAAAAAAbY/JzJfko6EYnY/IMG_4049_thumb%25255B1%25255D.jpg?imgmax=800" border="0" height="274" width="401" /></a></p> <p>So there is my first project for my first FCCB Challenge!!! I am so excited to see all of your projects. Make sure you check out all of the design teams projects for some amazing inspiration. </p> <p>Thanks ya’ll and here is the recipe for the U-pick book tree:</p> <p>Tree and Leaves – Serenade (tree cut at fit to page, leaves cut at 10.75 in 4 different colors.)</p> <p>Books-Campin Critters cut at 2 in.</p> <p>Bird- Simply Charmed cut at 2 in.</p> <p>Nest- Create a Critter cut at 1 in. </p> <p>Fence - Everyday Paper Dolls cut at 7 in. on fit to length</p> <p>Grass- I cut this in CCR with a rectangle welded to the bottom to give it a ledge to stand up with. I cut it at 9.5</p> <p>Bottom square is measured at 10.5 inches and then I scored all sides at around half an inch and cut at the corners to create the box look. </p> <p>If you would like a full detailed tutorial on this project please email me and I can get that for you!!!</p> <p>Thanks and God bless!!!</p>Crystalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11925355306841082551noreply@blogger.com15tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14658240661375136.post-32091045834665175622011-11-01T10:05:00.004-04:002011-11-01T10:51:27.780-04:00Halloween fun and some exciting news!!Good Morning!!! The day after Halloween is always a slow one especially when it comes on a weekday. My kids are so glad we homeschool because I let them sleep in on this day!! We stayed up late after trick or treating watching Captain America!!!<br />Their costumes were really cute this year. For months now my 7 yr old has told me that he wanted to be Thor with the hammer so we finally go to buy the costume and when we get there he spots another one and throws Thor down on the ground and grabs......<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxtDnSpwG3LJ0M6CqS9r_vIRnypykalBwZnYcijF-Fo4p4dhDXUJXw6J_Qf97dUNo8P2Yd4JZqBgVJC86RVBXbu-MaGfVqqC5a6tq3qXkHPoRutbdtbYP56pyDVMkIYA0TC0ADrxH3ADk/s1600/IMG_4019.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 213px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxtDnSpwG3LJ0M6CqS9r_vIRnypykalBwZnYcijF-Fo4p4dhDXUJXw6J_Qf97dUNo8P2Yd4JZqBgVJC86RVBXbu-MaGfVqqC5a6tq3qXkHPoRutbdtbYP56pyDVMkIYA0TC0ADrxH3ADk/s320/IMG_4019.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5670033745375647490" border="0" /></a> WOLVERINE <br /><br />He is so funny!!! He was so excited when he saw this costume. Thor was history after that. My daughter however is getting older and it is getting harder to figure out a costume.
